Rie-Bay™ is a body-mounted panel that fully or partially covers the top side of the engine bay. With its superior properties for noise insulation and absorption it reduces sound levels significantly. Rie-Bay™ combines lightweight materials in one single part, thereby decreasing assembly time. The one piece approach opens new opportunities for modern engine bay styling and new powertrain concepts.

On request, air channels for engine bay spot cooling and/or engine air intake can be integrated. Furthermore, the highly thermally insulated structure is a perfect fit for body-mounted engine encapsulation concepts, increasing heat storage and lowering CO₂ emissions.
