Corporate Responsibility Report 2025
ESG Directive
Autoneum is committed to the highest standards of integrity, sustainability and ethical conduct. We are convinced that a sustainably profitable business is only possible if we live up to our social responsibility, which includes our unwavering commitment to respect the human rights of both our employees and external stakeholders, to care for our environment, and to take social as well as economic responsibility.
Human and labor rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Labor rights include the right to decent and productive work, in conditions of freedom, equity, security and dignity.
Autoneum recognizes the serious environmental challenges the world faces today and we want to play our part in mitigating the effects of climate change and preserving natural resources. We pursue ambitious targets to improve the sustainability of our production processes, thereby enhancing operational excellence and continuously reducing our environmental footprint.
The Autoneum ESG Directive defines, next to the Code of Conduct, the main principles of human and labor rights protection, environmental protection, and our general approach of taking social and economic responsibility. It helps to safeguard the highest standards in these domains throughout Autoneum and our supply chain. The Directive conforms to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights (consisting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights), the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, and the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) Base Code.
